For Öper Öpis Zimmermann & de Perrot invited five exceptional circus artists and dancers to join them.

The action takes place on an unstable stage that can tilt in response to movements made by the protagonists. It constitutes the uncertain basis on which the characters, alone or in pairs, display themselves – thereby risking life and limb. The encounters are soft, fleeting, spectacular and daring, and more often than not result in a decline. As the characters untiringly seek new challenges in their relationships with the others, they upset the balance and are thereby in danger of losing the ground under their feet. Everyday situations unravel into absurdity.

With compassion and humour, Öper Öpis is about the impossibility of finding in others what one is really looking for: oneself.
